Town Council

The Town Council consists of seven members, all of whom are elected at large from the town. The Council serves to enact local legislation, adopt budgets, determine policies and appoint a town manager. Council members are elected to serve four-year terms. The Mayor is a Council member that is elected by a majority vote of Council and serves a two-year term.

The Town Charter provides that the town shall have a council-manager government. The Council consists of seven members, all of whom are elected at large from the town. Community Vision Statement

In order to address future changes and growth anticipated within the Mt. Crested Butte community, members of The Town Council formulated A Shared Community Vision. The intent of this document was to establish a vision of who we are and what we want to be; to provide guidelines for the future of our town.
